About Me

Cloud Architect.
Problem Solver.
AWS Engineer.

I'm Christian Sosa-Lynch, a Cloud Architect and DevOps Engineer based in Omaha, Nebraska. I work at Great Plains Communications, designing and maintaining enterprise AWS infrastructure for a regional telecommunications provider.

My background is in computer science and engineering, and I've developed a deep specialty across the full AWS stack โ€” from core networking (VPC, Direct Connect, Site-to-Site VPNs, PrivateLink, Transit Gateway) to serverless compute, AI/ML services, and enterprise data pipelines.

At GPC I've worked across a wide range of technical domains: cloud networking via AWS Direct Connect and Site-to-Site VPN, enterprise SSO and Salesforce automation, data modernization with Kafka Connect and Snowflake, cloud security hardening with Security Groups and IAM governance, and full DevOps co-leadership of our Salesforce pipeline.

The projects on this site are builds I've designed and deployed to showcase specific AWS services โ€” real infrastructure, live endpoints, real AWS bills. Each one demonstrates a different dimension of what's possible on AWS.

Outside of work I'm interested in systems thinking, clean architecture, and building things that actually scale. Always happy to connect with other engineers and cloud enthusiasts.

How I Work

Principles

01
Infrastructure as Code
Every resource I build is in CloudFormation or IaC. If it can't be version-controlled and reproduced, it doesn't exist.
02
Least Privilege Always
IAM roles scoped to exactly what's needed. No wildcard policies in production. Security is architecture, not afterthought.
03
Build to Demonstrate
The best proof of skill is something that runs. Every POC on this site is live, costs real money, and does what it says.
04
Always Learning
Cloud infrastructure moves fast. Staying current means building real things with real services โ€” not just reading documentation.
